Submit Your Verification Receipts for Discover Apple Pay - You Only Get 21 Days - That's Tomorrow!

Just a reminder that if you got an email from Discover asking you to verify your transactions from Apple Pay on December 5th, the email said that you need to send receipts within 21 days.  That's tomorrow, thought I would hope they would let you submit after the deadline, just submit today.

I just submitted mine because I'm lazy, don't forget to submit yours.

I also wrote in the email something to the effect that I never bought any gift cards with Apple Pay and I'm annoyed at Discover for making me waste my time submitting receipts and that it makes me want to use Discover less.  All this is true.


Frankly, it is annoying and I want to avoid it in the future and maybe they will do something nice for us to make it up.  Who knows.

Discover Deals Confirming Cashback after Review Process

I got an email this morning from Discover thanking me for using Discover Deals.  I started to get used to an email that said that they are reviewing the transaction and I will get another email in 30 days to confirm. 

I had 3 emails and in the third email I saw this:

So Discover has been reviewing the purchases but so far the cashback lines up with what I would expect.  Discover is on the line for a lot of money and I have been expecting them to reject cashback easily.  I have been very careful to always use my Discover card for the transaction.

I am hoping for many more emails like this!

iPad Mini 4s Not on Sale at Staples - Fakeout Sale - New Sale Coming Hopefully

Last week I posed that Staples had an advertisement for an upcoming sale on iPad mini 4's. The price was supposed to drop from $399 to $299.  It looks like instead of the mini 4s, they dropped the price of the mini 3's to $299 which is pretty useless for our purposes.

At least they say that it will be going on sale on November 26th.

At first when you are sending out one or two packages a week or even one or two a day, a quick trip to your local UPS store or pickup is not such a big deal.


As I started to do more and reselling, my family fan (also known as the family tax deduction - jk) started to look like this on most days.

It was time for a UPS pickup to my place instead of going to them.

As a nice benefit, UPS will give you one year free of Smart Pickups when you sign up for UPS Connect.  Smart Pickups mean that you need to tell them to come and pick up instead of having a set day or days of the week that UPS automatically comes. This is normally $10 a week and is free for a year.


It only takes a couple of clicks to order a pickup once you are logged in and I don't find it to be a big deal at all.

Once you sign up, you will like it so much it will be hard to go back.

I love shopping portals. They turn good deals into great deals and great deals into fantastic deals and... Well, you get it....


The only thing I like better than shopping portals are when shopping portals have bonuses.  You just extra miles for doing the same thing.  Who doesn't love that!

Well, right night for the holidays a couple of Cartera shopping portals are offering bonuses.

Here is United's Bonus:

That's a bonus of 4.8x miles per $1 spent if you spend exactly $1,250.  Remember that the miles that you normally earn from the portal are added on top of that!  These are a resellers' best friend.  I spend $1,250 in my sleep every night!

Both of these portals are Cartera portals.  They also run the Southwest and AA shopping portals.  I didn't see any bonuses from them but hopefully it is coming.
