Amazon is going to require sellers provide accurate information of what's inside each individual box or face a fee for not providing the information.
Theoretically, this should cut down the time it takes to go from the shipments arriving at a fulfillment center and when they go on sale.
From now until the end of the year you can opt in to provide this information. You will earn a credit of $0.04 per unit you send in, up to a maximum of $5,000 (125,000 units) in credits which will automatically be paid to you in January 2016
You can provide the information in one of 3 ways
If I am going to need to start doing this anyways soon, I might as well get paid to do it now so I will opt in and see how it goes. I can't imagine I'll make much money (I send about 30-50 units a month), but it will give me a chance to learn the new system without penalties and hopefully I'll make something.

Hello from Amazon,
We are offering a promotional credit of up to $5,000 on Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Pick & Pack fees for sellers who opt in to the promotion and provide accurate box content information for each box they send to Amazon fulfillment centers from now until December 31, 2015.
By providing us with the contents of your boxes, you can reduce the amount of time it takes to make your products available for sale. Starting early next year, all FBA sellers will be required to provide this information for each box they send to Amazon. Once this requirement goes into effect, boxes with missing or inaccurate information may be subject to additional fees.
Take advantage of this promotion now to get a head start on adjusting to the new requirement and also earn an FBA Pick & Pack fee credit of up to $5,000.
