You will be able to buy gift cards at 4.25% off. (currently 3% off)
I have never used them myself, but some readers have with good results. I don't know if you can use AmEx gift cards to buy them, but that would increase your savings as well.
If you have a Chase Ink card, you are still better off buying them from Staples to earn 5x Ultimate Rewards points instead (though reports of portal cashback/miles are now more questionable).
Alternatively, you can buy them at a grocery store and sometimes earn fuel points.
