Staples.com is having a sale on Whole Foods gift cards.  $10 off.  You can buy a $50 gift card for $41.99 ($1.99 shipping), a $100 gift card for $91.99 or a $200 gift card for $191.99.

You can sell the physical gift cards for 88% of the value ($44) at SaveYa according to Gift Card Wiki.  Not an amazing deal for reselling but you can make some money.  Keep in mind that there are shipping costs as well for most companies and prices can go down.

 This is really much better if you are interested in using Whole Foods Gift Cards for your own purposes.

You can try to use a shopping portal, but lately they haven't been working for gift cards bought on Staples.

Giving Assistant is a shopping portal that I haven't been using for too long, but I have used it for quite a few Amazon purchases and it has tracked nicely.  Just read their tips on how to make sure everything tracks and you should be good.

Giving Assistant pays out 5% cashback on all Amazon purchases, it is not category dependent like other shopping portals.

eBay is selling a Lenovo ThinkServe for $285 with no tax in NJ.

(In other good news, I am seeing this a lot more, but many times you don't actually have to pay through PayPal when buying on eBay.  You can checkout right on eBay.  I hate PayPal so this is great!  I assume that if you use gift cards you still need to log in through PayPal.)


I don't really know what this is but I know that it sells for between $350-$360 on Amazon and is ranked 728 in computers so it is a good seller.


FBA fees at $350 are $39 so your takehome is ~$310 if you sell on the cheaper side.  Shipping will be extra and it weights 23 lbs so you might pay $10 per item to ship.

That's $15 on the sale alone.  You can buy 5 of them so you can make $75 on the sale price.

My Gap.com Purchase

The other day I posted how to save a lot of money on your Gap purchase.  Well, I needed new pants so I thought I would try it out for myself.

I know a family who is in the process of moving homes.  They were in need of appliances and called me.  They asked me for a card which has a promotional 0% APR for a while.  I never keep a credit card balance since that ruins any benefits of credit cards so I didn't know the information offhand other than the Chase Slate.

I quickly looked up Discover, hoping they would have a 0% APR and found that it did for the first 12 months.  We were in business since I knew I would be able to save them a ton of money.

Lenovo laptop on sale at Best Buy.  It costs $250 at Best Buy.  After tax, it costs me $267.   Limit of 3 per person.    

The same item is $325 on Amazon.  After FBA fees, your takehome is ~$295.

That's a profit of ~$30 per item.  You can buy 3 for a profit of $90!  It gets much better.

Simply Best Coupons Returns with 1.5% Cashback with Maximum $200 Denominations

I'm sorry for all the posts on this but this keeps on developing.

Earlier I reported that Simply Best Coupons and Be Frugal removed American Express Gift Cards entirely and I thought maybe it was to update their Terms and Conditions.  Unfortunately that is correct.

Simply Best Coupons has brought American Express Gift Cards back at 1.5% but only for $200 denominations and below.  I am sure that the rest of the portals will follow suit.

It was wonderful while it lasted, but American Express Gift Cards are effectively useless at this point unless something changes.

American Express Gift Cards Disappear from Be Frugal and Simply Cashback

Following the devaluation of Top Cashback's payout on American Express Gift Cards due to the denomination maximum changing to $200, I recommended to buy from Be Frugal today at 1.5%.  Simply Best Coupon was the other possibility at 1.5%.


Janol commented that Be Frugal has removed American Express Gift Cards entirely.  Simply Best Coupons has done the same.

The best available now is 1%.  Mr. Rebates is one such example.

I have to assume that they have been removed until new terms and conditions can be put up but I don't actually know.  We will see.

Be Frugal is Still Paying out on $2,000 American Express Business Cards at 1.5%

Today we learned that Top Cashback is no longer paying out for American Express Business cards at lower than $200 denominations, making them essentially useless.

This may change going forward but Be Frugal (my referral link - haven't checked other portals but I assume they haven't changed yet either) is still paying out on denominations $2,000 and below at 1.5%.

I plan on buying as much as I can today from Be Frugal.  I suggest you do the same.  Limit of $100,000 per 14 days. Keep in mind that they still may not pay on these orders as this might be a mistake.

For those that got in on the Playstation 4 deal from eBay, the warning from Amazon has been removed.  I would feel safe sending in the item to Amazon, though the price has dropped closer to about $400 instead of $410.

Living Social is selling a Sam's Club Plus Membership for $45 (this is normally $100) with a $20 Sam's Club gift card and $22 in vouchers for food.  I have diet restrictions and my local Sam's Club gave me $42 of gift cards instead of the food vouchers. That is definitely YMMV.

Sam's Club gift cards can also be used at Walmart.

This is a no brainer if you are a reseller.

Top Cashback Changes Terms for Raise Seller Promotion, Again - This Time it is Good News, Again

Top Cashback has an awesome promotion where you can earn $10 for every $50 gift card you sell.

There has been a never ending saga with Top Cashback constantly changing the terms.

At first it wasn't clear what the terms were, then they changed them for the worse so that you needed to sell the gift cards for $50 or more.

Next, they changed it for the better that it was based on the value of the gift card.

Then, they changed it back for the worse, again.


Well, now we are back to the promotion that we like, again.  I don't think I've ever seen a promotion flip flop like this so much.

The only problem is that no one has actually been uplifted from $1.50 to $10.  We'll see if that ever happens. I was about to list some $50 gift cards for the $1.50 so this is good news for me.  $10 a gift card makes a big difference for margins.

There are only 15 left so I won't go through everything so you don't miss it but make sure to go to Top Cashback (1.2%).  You could also use ShopAtHome.com for 2%.  Some have had success with them, otherwise have had the cashback track at 1% and needed to ask for an increase.  I've never used them for eBay, thought I should try it out.

Use eBay gift cards if you have them.  Don't buy them because it will be gone by the time you try.

10% off eBay Gift Cards and 15% off iTunes Gift Cards from Target.com - Limit of 3 per Transaction

Target.com is running a same on eGift cards.  You can buy eBay Gift Cards for 10% off and iTunes Gift Cards for 15% off.


I don't know how fast they are delivered. Update: takes about 10 minutes to be sent.

There is a limit of 3 per transaction, but reports are that you can make multiple transactions.


Use your target RedCard to pay and you will save an additional 5%. As long as you have a RedCard connected to your account,  you will still get the 5% discount even if you pay with Target gift cards.  You may need to pay some amount on the actual RedCard.
