Final price is $498 before taxes. Normal is $630. About $535 after taxes.

This item is selling for about $560-$580 on Amazon.  Fees are about $40 so it looks like you will come close to breaking even, but it gets much better.

AmEx Offers For You

If you still have some, you can use up to 2 credit cards per order to save $20 per AmEx credit card with the $20 off $20 AmEx Offers for You at Sam's Club.

Discount Gift Cards

Use gift cards on Raise from Walmart (can be used on Sam's Club) for about 2.5% off.  If you buy them with Fidelity American Express, that's 5% off the price.  If you buy them with AmEx Gift cards you bought with a Fidelity American Express when Top Cashback was paying 2.25%, that's another 2% off.  That could be 6% off the price.  Don't buy gift cards for the full price because of the next step.

Keep in mind that you can only use 4 gift cards per order so don't buy $25 gift cards.

Alternatively, you can buy from giftcards.com for about 3% off instead of Raise.

Alternatively, you can buy gift cards directly from Walmart if you have one of the Offers for you of $15 off a $79 purchase.

Walmart gift cards can often be bought for 3% from Raise, so you may want to put an alert on Raise to see if you can buy them for more.

Shopping Portals

Use Discover Deals for another 5% off now which can become another 5% off in 13 statements if you are enrolled in the Discover Double promotion.  Discover Deals has no T&C that take would take away the cashback.  Make sure you put some of the purchase on your Discover card so that you don't end up with a possible clawback.  Remember that your 5-10% will come off the full price, not the price you paid for the gift cards.

Sam's Club Membership

You need a Sam's Club Membership.  Unfortunately, there is no groupon now so you have to pay the actual $45 fee, but there will probably be other deals in the future with Groupon.  Otherwise you can pay a 10% guest checkout fee (might as well become a member) or have your address be in California where guests don't pay the 10% guest checkout fee.

The last groupon deal was for $45 for a Plus membership with a $20 gift card.  You can wait for it but this deal can already make up the difference!

Your Haul

Let's do the math for the most optimal savings:

Price - ~$450 after 2 "Offers for You" and Discount gift cards of ~6% off
Discover Portal - ~$25 now and ~$25 in 13 months
Sam's Club cash - $10

You can sell the iPad for about $500-$520 after fees so this is a great deal.  Earn about $50 and all the portal cashback!

Obviously, if you buy 2 everything is doubled, but you need to buy in two separate orders because of the Offers for You.




Note - Keep in mind the possibility of a Discover clawback, which is why it might be a good reason to put some of the money on a Discover card, but you will then lose one of the American Express Offers for You slots.
